Our first vacation together was to Napa Valley while were dating back in 2013. Then we got married in Napa in 2014. And the rest is history I guess! This is a very special place to us that has many memories tied to it🍷🍇

Looking forward to see what the next 10 years has in store! Love doing life with you @alexgrivna 🥰😘

How Orangetheory has kept me consistent with working out

Well, I am officially 120 classes in with Orangetheory Fitness, and I love it more every day! I really thought I would have quit by now, but I am still going 5-6 times per week. I typically get bored with my workout routine after a few months, so it is a huge accomplishment for me that I have been consistent with this since July.

So…..how has Orangetheory kept me coming back? There are several reasons why I keep going back for more:

  1. Every workout is different.
    • When I first signed up for these classes, someone told me, “Every workout is different.” Honestly, I didn’t believe them at the time.
    • Surprisingly, every workout is different and they are always changing things up. This keeps the workout exciting and interesting. When the class is different every single day, it is hard to get bored.
  2. The workouts do not get easier over time.
    • My body typically gets used to workouts after a few months, and I will no longer be sore after a workout. With Orangetheory, I am sore multiple times per week. My body doesn’t get used to this workout because the workouts are so different, and I am consistently pushing myself to be better.
    • You do have to challenge yourself and make sure you are increasing your speeds on the treadmill and increasing your weights on the strength floor. As long as you are doing that every so often, you will continue to be challenged in this class.
  3. I can see my effort in real time.
    • This is a biggie for me. I know I push myself more since I can see how hard I am working in the class.
    • I will sometimes be running on the treadmill thinking, “Oh my god, I am dying!” but really….I’m not. Not even close. So, I end up pushing harder and burning more calories.
    • Basically, the heart rate monitor inspires you to keep going and it lets you know when you are truly at your limits.
  4. My body has changed for the better.
    • I am definitely not “skinny,” but I do feel like my body has thinned out a bit since I have been more consistent with these classes. I have received a couple of compliments from friends, so it has really kept me motivated to keep signing up for class!
      • Also, I have not altered my diet, so I know for a fact the workouts are what is helping me to stay fit.
  5. The coaches.
    • I love being pushed and the coaches are super motivating. If I was just running on a treadmill at the gym or running outside, I would definitely not run as fast. Having a coach there is super helpful and it inspires to be better.
    • The coaches are also super fun and have really great music. There is never a dull moment and they keep the class exciting!
  6. Late cancel policy.
    • If you cancel right before the class, you are going to get charged. So, that’s a pretty big motivator to not skip your workout 🙂
  7. Even if I don’t want to go, I tell myself to still go and take it easy.
    • There are some mornings when I am really not feeling it. Sometimes, I just feel too tired and other days, my body is so sore from the previous day. I play a mental game with myself and will tell myself to go and just walk on the treadmill and take it easy.
    • As soon as I get there, I am so excited that I end up running anyways. Either way, it is nice knowing that you aren’t going to get judged if you need to take it easy in a class or two. It is still better to go than to sit on your couch.
  8. I love the diversity in members.
    • I think it is great that all types of people go to Orangetheory. I have seen people in their 60s in this class, and I have also seen teenagers in the class. Both males and females do these workouts. People of all different fitness levels take these classes.
    • It is nice to see that they can cater towards anyone. I think that makes a great workout studio.
  9. They have special classes and fun events!
    • Orangetheory will sometimes offer 90-minute classes or a DriTri. It is nice that they offer a few different options when you want to challenge yourself even more.
    • They also have Transformation Challenges where you are held accountable for 6-8 weeks for your health and fitness goals. Whether you are trying to lose weight or maybe just trying to eat healthier, Orangetheory can really help you become a healthier person all-around.
  10. I genuinely just love Orangetheory.
    • Honestly, I keep going because I love the workouts so much! They are challenging, but doable. It feels so good when you are done knowing that you accomplished so much. I have never felt this challenged with a workout, and I have never sweat so much in my life! Anyways, you just have to try it 🙂

Have you ever taken a class at Orangetheory? If so, do you love it as much as I do?

Let me know if you have any questions about these workouts. I am always happy to help!
