My “little sister” from Chi Omega, Kristen, and her husband were in town for the weekend. It was so good to see them and we had a lot of fun. I love having visitors because we always end up doing so much more around town!
We spent most of Saturday by the pool. Tons of drinks and guacamole were had, so that was great.
For dinner, we went to dinner at Local Pour in the Hughes Landing area. Alex and I used to live up at Hughes Landing when we first moved to Texas, so it always nice to go back and check out the restaurants and bars.
On Sunday, we went to brunch at one of our favorite spots – The Black Walnut. We go there almost every weekend!
After brunch, we just laid by the pool some more since the weather was perfect (perfectly hot that is).
Later in the afternoon, we went downtown to check out a brewery – 8th Wonder. This is a really fun brewery in downtown Houston with a wide variety of craft beers. They also have a food truck on site!
My other friend from Chi Omega, Emily, was able to meet up with us at the brewery as well! It was so fun to have our Chi Omega family reunited!
Overall, it was super fast weekend, but so much fun. I am excited to do more adventuring around Houston this summer.
Next weekend, I am hosting a Junior League pool party, so I am already looking forward to next Saturday. The pool has definitely kept us plenty busy 🙂
Anyways, I hope y’all had a great Monday. Alex and I are exhausted, so I am excited for an early bedtime tonight! It’s the little things in life.
