bio
I began my career at Epic after graduating from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in May 2012 with my Bachelor’s degree in Biological Systems Engineering.
During my three years at Epic, I worked on the Claims and Remittance implementation team and assisted the company with several internal projects. I successfully managed multiple customers while staying on time and on budget. I consistently delivered creative solutions for complex workflows and maintained great relationships with operational owners.
I spent a year with Experian Health on the implementation team, managed over 50 clients, and implemented over $1.5 million in first-year revenue for the company. I was personally chosen by management to course correct struggling projects and improve client happiness.
Today, I work for UCSF Health, which was just ranked as the #5 best hospital in the country.
At UCSF, I am a key part of our revenue cycle team due to my extensive knowledge and training in all areas of the revenue cycle. I work closely with Hospice By the Bay, a joint venture with UCSF, to ensure that the Epic software is supporting their revenue cycle needs. Due to my strong organization and communication skills, we were able to get Hospice By the Bay live on Epic in 8 months with no issues.
In addition to my work with UCSF affiliates, I help to maintain to optimize other areas of the revenue cycle. Some examples of this work include: enhancements to timely filing, payor/plan clean-up and automating billing functions in order to receive payments in a timely manner.
