Cajun Dirty Rice

Ingredients
  

  • 1 package Andouille Sausage, chopped into slices
  • 1 cup rice
  • 1 can (10½ oz) beef broth
  • ½ can (5 oz) water
  • 2 T celery, chopped
  • 2 T parsley, chopped
  • 2 T green onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Wash the rice thoroughly. If you don't wash the rice, the dish will be sticky.
  3. Combine all ingredients in an oven safe casserole dish (2.5 qt). I recommend using something that has a lid.
  4. Place the casserole dish in the oven and bake uncovered for 45 minutes.
  5. If there is still liquid left at 45 minutes, continue baking until all liquid is evaporated.
  6. After it's done cooking in the oven, remove from the oven and stir thoroughly.
  7. Cover the casserole dish until it is time to serve.
